Los Banos Talk
The first dog park in the City of Los Banos has been under construction since 2020, and will be opening to the public on April 19, 2021. The dog park is located at 700 N. Mercey Springs Rd., next to the AG Sports Complex. The park is divided into two sections, one for smaller dogs (under 30lbs) and the other for larger dogs (dogs over 30lbs). There will be a sign posted at the park with the rules and city ordinances governing the use of the park, and you can see the complete list of rules here.
Some of the rules you will want to keep in mind are
Dogs must be kept on a leash until fully within the fenced area, and whoever is responsible for the dog must have a leash with them.
Dogs must be wearing a collar with current dog license tag
Dogs must be healthy, not sick, not carrying a contagious disease(s), and fully vaccinated.
All human and dog food are prohibited inside
You are responsible for picking up after your dog (including picking up poop and filling any holes dug)
Children under the age of 6 are not permitted in the park, children over 6 but under 14 can be in the park with adult supervision.
No more than 3 dogs per person over 14 (i.e. in order to bring 4 dogs you would need two people over 14 years of age, for 7 at least 3 adults etc.)
No soliciting, advertising, or commercial activity allowed in the park (Including dog training classes)
